Same sex domestic violence is increasingly being seen as an important issue in the gay and lesbian communities. As information about same sex domestic violence increases the demands on a wide range of services will also increase. Services such as the police and courts, domestic violence and sexual assault services, women's health centres, general health services and gay and lesbian community groups are all likely to experience a growth in demand from gay men and lesbians.

These pages are designed to help you and your service better understand same sex domestic violence and therefore provide the best possible help and support to gay men, lesbians and their friends and families. Information, reading and upcoming events will be updated regularly. For the latest conferences, events and updates check our blog.

ACON, along with the SSDV Interagency, have produced a number of resources on SSDV, these resources are available to download here, or you can use the resource order form to request hard copies to be sent to you.
